THINKING ABOUT JOINING 4-H?

We are very happy to learn of your interest in joining 4-H!  We’re sure you’ll find that 4-H is lots of fun and a great opportunity for the whole family to get involved in!  4-H is for all boys and girls from Kindergarten through High School whether they live in the city our county.  We offer more than 80 projects and dozens of activities, ensuring that every youth can find areas of interest to explore.  We have several different informational documents describing 4-H at the Extension Office. 

The first step in joining 4-H is to become a member of one of our community clubs.  Accordingly, one of the most important documents is “Clubs and Leaders” which can be found on the website under 4-H Clubs.  Not only does this document list all of our clubs, but also the names of the leaders, their phone numbers and addresses.  Feel free to contact any of these leaders to find out more about their club, when and where they meet, ages of members, areas they emphasize, etc.

Once you have joined a community club, all county level activities like the county fair, summer camp, animal trainings, arts festivals, and so much more are available to you for your participation.
