Jeffers Road Community Gardens Rental Plots

Eau Claire County is again offering garden plots for rent at the Community Garden Site located on Jeffers Road, just off the North Crossing.  This is the same location as in previous years.  Garden plots measure 20’x45’ and will cost $35 per plot.

New this year,we are opening some plots for those that want to garden as soon as the ground thaws.  These early plots will not be tilled due to early planting.  See  map below for the locations of these “early garden” plots. Please mail or stop in to the Extension Office to purchase your early garden spot for this season.  UPDATE: The plots are being tilled on Friday, May 17th and will be open for planting Saturday, May 18th.  There are still plenty of plots available!

If you are interested in obtaining a regular garden plot(s), fill the registration form and return it with a check or money order made payable to Eau Claire County Extension.  You can submit one check for multiple plots.  Requests for garden plots will not be taken over the phone.  Only requests with full payment will be accepted – we will not hold any plots while waiting for payment.  Plots will be assigned on a first-come basis and are NON-REFUNDABLE.  If your preferred choices are not available we will try to contact you at the daytime number you have listed on the garden rental form.  If we are unable to contact you, our office will randomly assign you a garden plot.

Please call us if you have any questions or concerns regarding the Community Gardens or any gardening questions in general.  The Extension Office hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.  We look forward to working with you again this summer.
