Cake Decorating

Do you want to learn more about Decorating Cakes in a new and exciting way? Join us in using the Goosechase app to connect and learn about Cake Decorating with others!  This distance learning opportunity is a chance for us to learn together about frosting, cake decorating tools, and how to use them to make cakes more beautiful!

Open to youth and volunteers, 3rd grade and older (youth must be 13 and older to access the app without a parent), we will join together in Goosechase (an easy to download app) from March 15-May 15.  New information and Missions will be released weekly to help us to DO-REFLECT-APPLY together.  We will share resources, learn from experts, and help each other build our skills!  For additional information, please visit https://4h.extension.wisc.edu/vlc.

There are also a limited supply of fondant kits and tip kits available for youth and families new to cake decorating.

This is a great opportunity to keep practicing and learning until fair time.

Foods Revue Registration Now Open

The Foods Revue is a Pre-Fair Event.  This means that it is part of the Eau Claire County Fair and the exhibitor receives a premium for their participation based on their placing.  This is an opportunity to practice meal planning & presentation, decorate a cake, or demonstrate a kitchen experiment without the pressure of other Eau Claire County Fair goings-on.  These foods will also be tasted and not just judged on appearances.

Register through FairEntry (see button below).  If you are an enrolled 4-H member, you will have an option to sign in “with Fair Entry.”  You will be able to enter your entries only in the Department 25C—Foods Revue or Department 17C- Youth Development Foods Revue at this time.

Check the “Revue Fair Book” to determine your Class and Lot numbers.
